I have got my 30-day trial, how do I get started?

First create some focus areas from the Administration screen, add 2-3 and come back and setup the rest later. The focus areas will help categorise areas of strategy. Focus areas could be by line of business (retail, manufacturing), departmental function (HR, Finance), or a mixture, consider including a strategic focus for environmental sustainability.

Then from the blocks view modify your first block to match your overall goal or vision by opening its properties pane. Now starting adding children to this block, you can start assigning ownership to these blocks to people on your team who are responsible for these functions, and so on. The strategy map grows organically by including more and more members of the team, all linking back to the overall vision or mission.

What browsers are supported by StrategyBlocks?

Currently Microsoft IE 6+ and Firefox 2+ are fully supported. StrategyBlocks uses only the Adobe Flash plug-in and requires no further client components so that your system integrity is maintained.

What hardware do I need?

The system is delivered entirely over the web as a software service. All you will need is a directory of personnel and an Internet connection. Therefore no requirement for onsite system administration, upgrades, or hardware and your data is held securely offering the benefit of offsite recovery.

Is my strategy completely secure?

Absolutely, traffic is encrypted through the use of SSL and available only to registered Users in your organisation. StrategyBlocks is hosted in a secure server environment that uses firewalls and other advanced technology to prevent interference or access from outside intruders. Your data will be completely inaccessible to all external parties.
